The positions below are open for nominations for the 2026-2028 and 2026-2027 terms, with job descriptions linked.

  • President (2 years)

  • Vice President (1 year)

  • Vice Steward (1 year)

  • Secretary (2 years)

  • Treasurer (2 years)

    • The Treasurer shall be responsible for the financial records of the Association. The Treasurer is also responsible for adding, removing, and maintaining a list of members and their dues-paying status and ensuring collected dues are paid to any affiliated association. The Treasurer shall pay all bills and stipends for the Union. The Treasurer shall also disburse funds approved by a majority vote of the Executive Board to organizations, vendors, and individual members.

    • The Treasurer shall also monitor the Association's bills and subscriptions and make financial recommendations about the renewal or cancellation of services.

    • The Treasurer shall give a report of the status of the Association’s finances at meetings of the Executive Board or as requested by Membership. The Treasurer shall also be responsible for creating and maintaining all documentation necessary for the Association’s yearly taxes. (PSA Constitution, Article V, Section 2)

    • The Treasurer receives a stipend of $100/month. (PSA Constitution, Article VI, Section 5)

  • 1 Central Representative (2 years) and 2 Branch Representatives (2 years)

    • Responsibilities of the Representatives shall be to provide additional representation for membership through consistent and timely check-ins and communication with their assigned departments or branch locations. Representatives shall also be responsible for performing other duties as assigned by the President or that the Representative volunteers for in their position as a member of the Executive Board. (PSA Constitution, Article V, Section 3)

    • Each Representative receives a stipend of $50/month. (PSA Constitution, Article VI, Section 5)

  • 4 Extended Sick Leave Fund Committee members (2 years)

    • Members of the Extended Sick Leave Fund Committee administer the Extended Sick Leave Fund. (PSA Constitution, Article V, Section 4; Collective Bargaining Agreement, Article XV, Section 3)

  • 1 Elections Committee member (2 years)

    • Members of the Elections Committee are responsible for running elections for the board and administering other votes (such as ratifying contracts or amending the Constitution). (PSA Constitution, Article V, Section 5; Article VIII; Article X)

You may nominate any active union member to any of the above positions, including yourself. The only exception is that current members of the Elections Committee may not run for positions on the Executive Board and Extended Sick Leave Fund Committee. Nominating someone else does not put them on the ballot automatically; it's a way to help us know whom to reach out to. They will still have to consent to run.
